I have gray hair. I've had them for so long that I can't quite remember when they started coming out; maybe it was at 16 or 17, more or less. The truth is, I don't know, the truth is that being a young woman with gray hair, people always wanted to rip them off because - according to them - "it added years to me." But gray hair is not a sign of old age as many belief; in my maternal family, it is a matter of genetics.

But just as gray hair is not a sign of old age, wrinkles are not always. The difference between gray hair and wrinkles is that the latter "speak" for you even if you don't want to.

Keep something in mind: your whole body talks about you. The people who look at you know a lot about you from the way you speak, as well as from the position you take when talking to them. Also, your way of dressing and your attitudes present you. Whether they are true or not, people take an image of you just by seeing you. But definitely, if something says a lot about you, it is the wrinkles on your face.

There are those who dare to judge whether you are "old" or not by the lines that surround your face; however, they often make serious miscalculations. Neither the gray hair nor the wrinkles on your face are signs of old age. Expression lines -although less aesthetic and more difficult to hide- speak of your emotions and even your health.

Why do wrinkles speak of your emotions?

It happens that the movements of the face are directly connected with the brain. Therefore, the face is the reflection of what happens in your brain. What you think or what you feel, if you are concentrated, pensive, anguished, anxious, or angry; your face is the reflection of what you feel.

Interesting, don't you think? With all the above in mind, below you will find interesting information about what expression lines - wrinkles or whatever you want to call them - say about you.

The faint lines on the forehead

These lines say that whoever owns them is a person with very active thought, with interests in various aspects of reality.

But at the same time, it is evidence that the person lives with many worries or constant states of anguish. Those who have them live under a lot of stress.

Vertical wrinkles

These wrinkles are those that are made between the eyebrows. They reveal a person susceptible to anger. If the lines come out of the left eye, that anger has to do with personal life. If the expression lines originate in the right eye, they are due to the pressure generated by the professional career or public life.

These types of wrinkles are marked because the person usually keeps the eyebrows down and together for a long time. In addition, they tend to narrow their lips.

These eyebrows reveal not only a person prone to intense attacks of anger or anger but also reveal someone with a strong, authoritarian, and easily irritable character.

Wrinkles at the corners of the lips that go down

These wrinkles denote a person who usually maintains constant feelings of sadness and bitterness.

These lines usually frame the mouth as if it were a parenthesis. Also, the lips fall down in the same way as the eyelids.

"Crow's feet"

A person with these types of expression lines, depending on their direction, can denote joy or sadness. When it comes to constant joy, wrinkles appear around the eyes and go upwards. When it comes to a person who feels sad, the wrinkles go down.

But also, crow's feet indicate that the person likes to seek support and help from friends and family to overcome the difficulties that life puts on them.

Wrinkles that are marked from the mouth to the chin

This type of wrinkle indicates pessimism. The funny thing is that depending on the degree of disappointment that the person has experienced, it can be marked from childhood.

Wrinkles that form on the outside of the forehead

These wrinkles go above the end of the eyebrows, as well as on the edge of the eye. They are arched wrinkles that show that the person is susceptible to being surprised, but also that they are the owner of a great intellectual capacity.

But your wrinkles can also be a sign of health problems

Added to all of the above, wrinkles can also reveal health problems, such as the following:

Heart problems

A study carried out in 2018 showed that deep wrinkles on the forehead can be due to particularly atherosclerosis and hypertension.

Stress

This also manifests itself in the wrinkles on our faces. Stress can cause the tension of the day or the problems that arise daily from youth to make the face marked with lines that may or may not deepen. They can appear both on the forehead and marked on the frown, or even on the upper lip.

Weak bones

Although it may seem a bit hard to believe, bone weakness can also manifest itself in facial wrinkles.

An investigation carried out by scholars from Yale University, explained that there is a great relationship between the presence of wrinkles on the face and bone density in women aged 40 to 50 years. Experts found that deeper wrinkles are due to a lack of collagen, lower and lower bone density, but this has nothing to do with age.

Wrinkles are evidence of your state of health as well as of your emotions, so you must take care of your emotional and physical health so that your face does not denote more and deeper expression lines before your time. Allow yourself to feel and live, but always taking care of yourself.
